a day in the life

What we did the last 2 days...

Other than the usual

1)       Finished several crochet projects (some of these are from Christmas, but I finished them all in the last few weeks)

I also made flower hats for Maddie and baby Nico, a dino hat for Dylan, and a Spiderman hat for Logan (FAIL!!!)  I'm working on dino hat for Logan to replace the Spiderman one and a dino hat for Maddie's friend Jakey.  I'm also working on an infinity scarf/cowl for Auntie Amiellia and a baby blanket for baby Nico (which she'll probably get on her first birthday at this rate).  I have a couple of things in mind (a scarf idea for Auntie Megan and a hat for baby Harper), but I'm trying to not get too ahead of myself with "real" school starting soon.

2)  Lots of organizing and miscellaneous stuff

-Organized the shelves in the "new" (craigslist) armoire we got to replace our TV bench.  With selling the old one and $50 from Nana Keating for Christmas it was paid for.  Of course, it didn't have shelves, so Steve added those at an extra cost.  It's such a great piece of furniture.  I'm very happy to have it.  And now I can close the doors and it's like the TV isn't even there.  Mommy is very happy.
Can you see the 3 computer charging shelves.  Sheesh.  One for mine (which isn't pictured because I'm using it, but it's being held together with electrical tape), one for Steve's hp (blah!), and one for Steve's work computer.

-Started shredding the box of paper that has been sitting in my dining room since Christmas.  The plan is to turn some of our junk mail and paper scraps into new paper.  I thought it would be a fun project for Maddie and I.  Then we can make hand made cards and personal things like that.  I'll let everyone know how it turns out once we start.  I'm waiting for some nicer weather.  This project will probably be messy so we will be doing it outside.

-Went through our entertainment book and cut out coupons.  I love me some coupons!

3) Finished my last skills class for my NAC license.  Today is my written final and then clinicals start in a week.  I'm ready for this class to be over.  Not that it's hard, but it took up my entire winter break.  I didn't really get any refresh time and "real" school starts on Monday (Chem, Phys, and World Cultures).

4)  Had some fun with my girls.  We played board games and went for a walk.  Today we'll be heading to Bothell Country Village to ride the train.  Maddie can't wait.  :)

5) Planned a lunch date with all my girlfriends for next week!  So excited!
