The headboard is done! It is soooo beautiful. We couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out. But, I'm going to keep you in suspense just one more day. I've been up since 2am and just finished a pretty exhausting physiology exam so I'm ready to hit the hay. I just had to tell everyone about how well our project turned out.
Steve and I worked all day on Sunday putting it together. It went fairly quickly. We did the headboard, finished our baseboard molding and made a run to Home Depot all in about 6 hours. And no big surprises. And thanks to Steve's wonderful sister and husband we were able to work nonstop while they watched the girlies (and we got to spend time with our nieces the night before).
We couldn't be more thrilled. Once you see the finished product you'll know why. And once we got it on the wall we fell in love with the wood exactly as it was so we aren't even going to stain it. Yay!
