Well, here we are. The first day of blogging, or what I’m terming “Day Zero.” Since having a month off from school my mind is going crazy with projects and activities. It is killing my husband. He is probably begging for school to start so I’ll stop making him pick up furniture and build shelves and move this and carry that. Everyday he comes home and something is different. Don’t worry honey. Only a couple more days and I won’t have time for anything but to eat, sleep, study, and care for the girlies. :)
Day zero is not my own term. I’ve been looking around at some DIY crafting sites and stumbled upon some really great ones (2modern.com, thehouseofsmiths.com, paisleywallpaper.blogspot.com, howaboutorange.blogspot.com). There are so many fascinating, creative people out there. I’m stealing “day zero” from Lori at paisleywallpaper.blogspot.com. Maybe it’s the start of the new year and the need for resolutions, as cliché as that may be. Her list of 101 in 1001 has inspired me. It’s a list of 101 things you want to accomplish in 1001 days (about 2 and ¾ years). It’s perfect. It’s not so distant as 5 years as the “where do you see yourself in 5 years?” question and now so pressing as one year. There is a little leeway for a bad month or two (or a couple quarters of school). I’m just starting to work on my list now. I’m not sure if I will have one list or multiple. Maybe a self list, family list, and a house/project list. We’ll see. It depends how hard 101 things are to come up with.
See you all tomorrow for day 1 and my list of 101 things!
